Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using My Dear Tomorrow.
By purchasing a letter, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Version 1.1 · May 10, 2026

1. WHO WE ARE

My Dear Tomorrow is operated by JOY, an independent founder based at 8300 Knokke-Heist, Belgium. VAT number: BE 0459.222.546. Contact: hello@mydeartomorrow.com.

2. WHAT WE OFFER

My Dear Tomorrow is a private letter-writing and delivery platform. Users can write personal letters and schedule their delivery to themselves or others at a future date or under specific conditions. We offer five letter types: the Future Letter, the Timed Letter, the Annual Letter, the Legacy Letter and the Gift Letter. Each is subject to its own delivery conditions as described on our website.

3. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

By purchasing a letter on mydeartomorrow.com, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

4. PRICES AND PAYMENTS

All prices are displayed inclusive of 21% Belgian VAT. My Dear Tomorrow charges one fixed price regardless of the buyer's location. Prices are subject to change. Letters already purchased are never affected by price changes.

Payment is processed securely through Mollie and Wix Payments. My Dear Tomorrow does not store payment details. All financial data is handled exclusively by our payment providers.

Additional fees apply for changes made after purchase:

  • Email address change: €4 per change

  • Content edit: €6 per edit

  • Cancellation: €4

The first email change and the first content edit on each letter are included at no additional cost. Cancellation always carries a fee, even on the first request. These fees are charged at the time the change is requested and are non-refundable.

5. WITHDRAWAL, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATION

Under Belgian and European consumer law, a right of withdrawal of 14 days normally applies to distance contracts.

However, by completing your purchase, you explicitly request that the service begins immediately. My Dear Tomorrow explicitly invokes the digital content exception under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU). You acknowledge and agree that once your letter has been created and stored in our system, the right of withdrawal no longer applies.

My Dear Tomorrow does not offer refunds on letter purchases or on any additional fees paid for changes after purchase.

This applies to all letter types: Future Letter, Timed Letter, Annual Letter, Legacy Letter and Gift Letter.

Future, Timed, Annual and Gift Letters can be cancelled at any time before delivery, from your personal management page, for a €4 cancellation fee. Cancelling stops future delivery. The letter price itself is not refunded.

The Legacy Letter cannot be cancelled. Once paid, it is sealed and held until your secure unlock code is used by a trusted contact, or until it expires after 10 years. Without that code, the letter cannot be opened. Not by us. Not by anyone. Ever.

If a technical error on our part prevents the service from being delivered as agreed, please reach out to hello@mydeartomorrow.com

and we will resolve the technical issue.

6. DELIVERY

My Dear Tomorrow processes deliveries daily at 08:30 Brussels time. We make every effort to deliver letters on the chosen date. However, we cannot guarantee delivery in cases where:

  • The recipient's email address no longer exists or is inaccessible

  • Delivery fails due to the recipient's email provider or spam filters

  • A technical interruption occurs beyond our reasonable control

We are not responsible for failed delivery due to circumstances outside our control, including changes to the recipient's email address after purchase.

7. CONTENT AND RESPONSIBILITY

You, as the author, take full and sole responsibility for the content of your letter. My Dear Tomorrow does not read, review or moderate letter content. We act as a delivery platform only.

You agree not to use My Dear Tomorrow to send content that is threatening, harassing, discriminatory, illegal or intended to cause harm. In cases of clear and demonstrable misuse, My Dear Tomorrow reserves the right to cancel pending letters and refuse future service without prior notice or refund.

My Dear Tomorrow is not responsible for the emotional impact or consequences of any letter delivered through the platform.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content you write remains your intellectual property. My Dear Tomorrow claims no ownership over letter content. By using the platform, you grant My Dear Tomorrow a limited, non-transferable right to store and deliver your letter solely for the purpose of providing the service.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

My Dear Tomorrow's liability is limited to the amount paid for the letter in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, including emotional distress, loss of data or loss of opportunity.

10. FORCE MAJEURE

My Dear Tomorrow is not liable for failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to technical failures of third-party providers, internet outages, cyberattacks, natural disasters or changes in law.

11. DATA PROTECTION

My Dear Tomorrow processes personal data in accordance with Belgian and European law, including GDPR. Please refer to our Privacy & Refund Policy for full details.

12. CHANGES TO THE SERVICE

My Dear Tomorrow reserves the right to modify, update or discontinue any part of the service at any time. Where possible, users will be informed of significant changes. Letters already purchased will be honoured under the terms applicable at the time of purchase.

13. CLOSURE OF THE PLATFORM

In the event that My Dear Tomorrow ceases to operate, we commit to making every reasonable effort to notify all users in advance and to deliver or safely return all pending letters before closure. My Dear Tomorrow is not financially liable beyond this commitment.

14. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
